Team Terminator placed second at the Mataatua Regional competition on 3/09/2018 run by the Robopā team from Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi and then placed first at the National competition held in Whakatane on 31/10 - 2/11/2018. This is the second year that our kura has participated in the Robopā competitions. Our students attended workshops held with other kura to build their Robots and then we participated in a kura scrimmage to find our teams to represent our kura at the regional competitions. Our students have also had to commit to after school trainings to help develop their skill in driving and building. We have had great support from our school and whānau to help us prepare at both regional and national level and are thankful for all their support. We have also had great support from the Robopā team, who ran our in-school workshops, regional and national competitions. Nei rā te mhi ki a koutou mo ō koutou kaha tautoko i a mātou ngā ākonga o Te Whata Tau ō Pūtauaki.

We have also been supported by the Robopā team from Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi - Thomas Mitai, Rochelle Rapana, Baj Mitai, the Tokerau team that included us in this year's program for Robotics in kura - Robopā.
