About the Team

We are Team 5150D, from Danbury High School, the largest public high school in the State of Connecticut with approximately 4000 students. 5150D made it to Worlds in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2023 and 2024, and were the 2023 Worlds Arts Division Champions. Currently, in the 2025 installation of 5150D, we are a team of 6 students (4 Juniors and 2 Seniors): Daniel Wiseman - Head Builder, Daniel Manfredonia - Assistant Builder, Cooper Dean - Head Programmer, John Gaudenzi - Assistant Programmer, Adrian Judnarine - Head Designer, Angelina Nguyen - Assistant Designer.

About this Season

For the 2024-2025 High Stakes Season, we were able to win a total of 10 awards (Design Award x4, Tournament Champion & Finalist x3, Innovate Award, Robot Skills Champion, and the Excellence Award). Most importantly, we have gradually improved ourselves to conquer the challenges that we faced. From creating/maintaining a 500+ Notebook, working with advanced 3D Modelling techniques such as Heat & Stress Analyses and coming together to buy our very own VEX field & Laser Cutter to put in John’s basement (to form our team headquarters).
