Girl Powered Weekend: October 18-19, 2024
Highlighting Women in STEM. Attendees will be presented with a "passport" and encouraged to visit various interactive stations. Each station will offer an activity related to a STEM profession and a prominent woman in STEM. This family-friendly event will reward those who complete their passports with a special gift. For instance, engage in the Galaxy Spin Art activity, showcasing Dr. Faber, a distinguished astronomer specializing in galaxy structure, formation, and the development of optical telescopes and instrumentation for astronomy.
