General Info
We look forward to welcoming elementary school students, middle school students, and adult chaperones to DISCOVERY Children's Museum for our Girl Powered event on Sunday, October 2nd, from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm. This event will feature special Women in STEM guest speakers, STEM presentations, and community organizations that support girls in STEM. In addition, several hands-on STEM explorations will be featured, including robotics activations. Registered attendees and their chaperones may stay and play at DISCOVERY following the event, at no cost.

3-D Printing & CAD
Experiment with Tinkercad software, and witness our 3-D printers in action. You’ll be amazed to learn how this technology trend is transforming society.
Curious Cubelets
Cubelets Robot Blocks inspire collaboration, engineering, design, and computational thinking. Join us in building robots using “sense, think, act” Cubelets.
Robot Race
Meet Dash the Robot! Dash can move, make sound, flash its lights and respond to voice commands. Design an obstacle course and learn how to code Dash to move through it.
STEM Presentations
Time: 10:00 am – 11:30 am
Young at Heart
Learn how the circulatory and respiratory systems function through the examination of anatomical models of the heart, blood vessels and lungs.
Super Cold Science
At -320°F fascinating things happen! Explore the world of “super cold” temperatures during this chilling presentation.
Volunteer
The 2022 Girl Powered STEM Event at DISCOVERY Children's Museum will be hosted by DISCOVERY staff and volunteers.

Health and Safety Policies
Enhanced Cleaning Procedures
The DISCOVERY team sanitizes surfaces daily with EPA registered disinfectant and electrostatic spray disinfectant.
Air Filtration
HEPA air filtration systems are installed throughout the Museum.
Hand Sanitation Stations
While hand washing is the recommended practice to reduce the spread of germs, hand sanitation stations are available onsite in the event space.
Mask Policy
Facial coverings are optional inside of the Museum. Disposable masks are available at no cost upon request.

DISCOVERY Children’s Museum is located at 360 Promenade Place, Las Vegas, NV, 89106
FREE parking is available in the DISCOVERY garage only. Please park in the garage directly behind, and attached to the Museum. DISCOVERY shares a parking garage with The Smith Center for Performing Arts.
The entrance to the garage is on Robin Leach Lane, and you will need to collect a ticket to enter the garage. Please have your parking ticket validated at our Visitor Services desk before leaving for the day to ensure that you are not charged for parking.
Please arrive at 8:30 am for event check-in.
