Join Placer Robotics at Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Roseville, CA for the 1st Annual Placer Girl Powered Workshop for elementary and middle school girls! The two-day workshop allows girls grades 4-8 to form teams to design and build a robot to play against other teams in a game-based engineering VEX IQ Challenge Slapshot. Use of Robotics kits, lunches, snacks and event t-shirt are included.
We will have experienced robotics camp counselors on-site to assist each team
The registration fee is $80 per team (~$20 per girl to cover food + t-shirts for the 2 day event). If you need any help registering, or would are requesting a fee waiver, please email us at [email protected] and we will work with you to complete the registration.
Only one of the adult has to register for the entire group and pay 1 fee ($80). The names of the participants are provided through a followup form from the event organizer. Please do not register more than 1 person for your group.

-
Girls in 4th-8th grade are eligible (9-13 years old)

Workshop Fees
The workshop fee is $80 per team (approx $20 per participant for both days). This fee will be waived for girls and teams with any financial difficulty. Please email [email protected] to request information about financial waivers.
Placer Robotics will be providing all of the equipment and robotics kits for the event, and we will have experienced camp counselors supporting the teams throughout the event.
We will provide lunches and some snacks for all the participants. We may not be able to accommodate all dietary restrictions so please be prepared to bring your own lunch/snacks if you have special dietary restrictions.
