General Info

The REC Foundation and BASF look forward to welcoming local Louisiana 9th-grade girls to our Girl Powered Event on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. This event will spark young girls’ interest in STEM and the world of robotics!

Food and refreshments will be provided.

This Girl Powered event is just one of many workshops happening around the nation this year. Girl Powered is an initiative to redefine the face of STEM by creating a more inclusive environment for all students within the robotics community. With the support of the community as a whole, we strive to encourage equal participation of young women and men in competitive robotics.

Doors will open at 8:00 am and the event will wrap up at 1:30 pm.

Volunteers are welcomed!    It is preferred for volunteers to be available on Friday, November 4 for set up and training, and on Saturday, November 5 from 9am-3pm.
