There is no charge for the event. If it is cancelled due to bad weather, we will try to reschedule if at all possible.
If the school seems it necessary to cancel the event due to weather or other unforeseen events, teachers will be notified as soon as possible.
We are looking for a diverse group of volunteers to represent the diversity of gender and ethnic backgrounds to show all students that opportunities in STEM Fields are possible for them regardless of their background. Robot Skills Challenge Offered: No
This is a special project between the Lamar County School District’s EXCEL program and the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science to provide all students in the gifted education program (grades 2-6) to career awareness and robotics through STEM. Teachers will register their classes to participate at the location designated for their school. Three different sessions are being organized over the two day period.
Each participant must bring a sack lunch and snack. No charge for the event.
