Volunteers can sign up as participants.


Each day of the event will go from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Participants will earn 21 professional development hours as well as a college credit option.  A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided!!

General Info

The VEX Robotics session is part of the Salem Superquestion workshop and is designed for coaches.  Whether you have coached in the past or are considering coaching a VEX team in the future.  This is a three day workshop where we will focus on the V5 systems and programming with VEX Coding Studio.  We will start with setting up the V5's, then move on to programming the Brains, then add motors and sensors.  If you have a V5 system please bring it!  We will have a couple of V5 systems available that can be used as needed.

We will also look at VEX in Oregon, building and coaching best practices and see ways you can get a team involved.  By the end of the workshop participants will have built and programmed a robot and will have participated in a simulated event.

For coaches that are using the VEX Cortex system,  There will be materials and activities for using RobotC Virtual World, building and programming for competition in RobotC as well.
