General Info

Our VEX IQ within the D&T Curriculum course will provide educators with an in-depth introduction to VEX IQ and how it can be used to implement a modern Design & Technology lesson within Key Stage 2 and 3 teaching. If you are unsure how you would deliver using a robotics kit, then this course will provide you with the answers, direct from a teacher who uses VEX in their classrooms every week.  With a strong hands-on emphasis to ensure educators are comfortable with the next step - how the VEX IQ system links to the D&T curriculum - there will be a blended learning of practical activities reinforced by theory linking activities to the KS2 & KS3 D&T curriculum.

An overview of the 50+ hours of free subject-mapped curriculum integrated into the mini-builds completed on the day means that following this course you have the experience of hardware, software and content for success. With follow on activities from the day part of the course material, this will ensure the learning and knowledge can be fully applied when you return back to your school.

Please note: If you already have kit, you are welcome to bring your own. Attendees without kit will have a VEX IQ Super Kit provided, then they will have the opportunity to loan the kit for 2 weeks following the course and get a discount equal to the course cost if they decide to purchase at the end of this two-week loan. More details of this offer are available.
