An Introduction to VEX IQ - Free Half Day Course, 8th January 2020 (13:00 - 16:30)
Designed for educators new to the platform, this exciting 3-hour introductory course gives you the opportunity to learn more about VEX Robotics now that you have your kit! It will provide an overview of the curriculum content surrounding our VEX IQ system and how it can be used across different subjects and Key Stages. Attendees will also be tasked with building a VEX IQ Basebot and then given an overview of the programming options available with a focus on VEXcode Blocks for IQ. Finally we will cover the VEX IQ Challenge, the extra-curricular STEM competition that uses the platform and how schools can participate. This course is designed for current educators who already have VEX IQ Super Kits but are yet to integrate VEX into their classroom and do not have teams registered for the VEX IQ Challenge. It will cover all of the basics of getting started and sign post the next steps for fully utilising the kit.
Please note: Attendees are required to bring a VEX IQ Super Kit to this course. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide VEX IQ Kits on the day. This course relates to VEX IQ only.
