General Info

I am excited about concluding a fun and exciting VEX Robotics Competition Season but more excited about our new games.  Check out VEX IQ "Ringmaster" and the  games (click links).  VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) "In the Zone"  (click links).

To kick off the new season of competition events for Florida we are hosting an Event Partner Summit in partnership with our gracious sponsor Northrop Grumman July 12th in Melbourne. We will be sharing best practices, new rules, the qualifying criteria, planning for your events, discussing judging, awards, referee details, finding and managing volunteers and of course review the new games and field elements.

Details for location and to register are on this page. Deadline is June 30th to register.  We must verify with NG that all participants (cap of 20) are US citizens and your place of work. You can use this for as professional development opportunity of 8 hours--this is free.  Be sure to bring any documentation we need to assist with.

With expanding growth in Florida in teams we are looking for teachers and mentors to host more events for more opportunities to play.  If you are not currently hosting events you are encouraged to attend.   I can set you up in the system as an EP, where you also get game element discounts, just send me your email for your robotevents account. Part of this growth has led us to have now have TWO venues for the State Championship!  One in Central/North Florida and a NEW one is SOUTH Florida!!  Please come and assist and be part of the planning for preparing teams with the Florida State Championship now having two venues, with the details.

In addition to the following agenda--Northrop Grumman will provide a tour of their expanding facilities and leading edge satellite, military and aerospace projects.
