General Info

NOVA SySTEMic is hosting a two part series on hosting a VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) or VEX IQ Challenge (VIQC). If your organization is interested in hosting a VRC or VIQC during this training is meant for you. We will start from a beginner level to help you plan and host your first event.

Part 1 will cover the overview of a competition and what you need to think through. We will present a timeline for reserving facilities, reserving/purchasing equipment and recruiting/training key volunteers for the event. This first part is in June so that you can reserve facilities and equipment rentals as needed for your competition before schedules are full. We will cover the planning phase of a tournament and if you have administrative rights to robotevents, we will help you start creating your event. Please contact your REC Foundation Support Manager to get administrative rights to robotevents if you don't have access.

Part 2 is scheduled for November 3rd and will involve hands-on training. We will review how to setup Tournament Manager, configure and control fields, use tablet scoring and connect an A/V system at your tournament. We utilize three trailers from NOVA SySTEMic that can be reserved and rented for our equipment example. Please register for Part 2 here .
