Registration

Register here!

Schools can register directly for this event using the link above before Monday,  April 1st. As WVSSAC Robotics uses a modified version of the VRC rules, we will not be using the standard RobotEvents registration system.

Eligibility

Any WVSSAC-affiliated high school may participate. There is no registration fee, and teams do not need to be registered for the 2023-24 VRC season to participate. Only one team from each school may attend. If your school has been fielding multiple VRC teams during the RECF season, you can combine all your school's students and robots into a single WVSSAC Robotics team.

Registration Deadline & Team Minimum

Registration for the event will close at 11:59 PM on Monday, April 1, 2024.

The event will only be held if a minimum of 12 schools are registered by March 24, 2024. If fewer than 12 teams are registered for the event as of March 25, the event will not be held.

UPDATE MARCH 25: The 12-team minimum has been met and the event will be held as scheduled.

Format & Event Notes

WVSSAC Robotics teams will play a modified version of the VRC Over Under game with some modifications. Detailed rules are available on this page.

New this season:  All matches will be played "1 vs. 1", with each team using up to two robots in each match. Although all teams are encouraged to bring at least two robots to the event, teams with a single robot can also participate. Please consult the rules for full details.

The Robot Skills Challenge and judged awards will be offered alongside head-to-head matches. The list of judged awards has not yet been finalized.

Head-to-head fields will use the metal field perimeter (278-1501) on 24" risers. Skills challenge and practice fields will use the portable field perimeter (276-8242) on the floor.

Grade Level: High School

Skills Challenge Offered: Yes
