Code of Conduct

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In case of an incident or circumstance effecting this event or the potential safety of those participating in it, we will undertake three notification strategies:

  1. An advisory describing the situation (e.g. inclement weather) and the action being taken (e.g. event cancellation) will be posted to this RobotEvents event listing under this tab.  
  2. The same information will also be e-mailed to all registered team coaches.
  3. A phone call to all coaches will be attempted to update them.

Refund and Payment Policies

Event cancellation

Should the event be cancelled, registration fees will be refunded to all  teams in full

Team cancellation

Registered teams needing to cancel will be eligible for a full refund if notification of cancellation is submitted prior to freezeing (publication of) the qualification match schedule.  

Refund terms are as above.

Full refunds (or event credits) for teams that have paid by cash or cheque,

Please note: We consider our cancellation and refund terms to be very lenient. WE reserve the right to withdrawn registration privileges of teams found to be abusing these terms (e.g. repeated team cancellations due to speculative registration

Webcast

This competition will be live broadcast, with details made available to all teams so they can inform their supporters and other interested in the mechanical fun and mayhem that is VEX Robotics.

Judging Format

In-Person Judging - Team interviews and engineering notebooks will be judged in-person on the day of the event during the times indicated in the Agenda.Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges. If a digital notebook is being used, teams must print out a hardcopy.
