Please be advised that interviews will be conducted in person, enhancing the overall experience of this prestigious event. Your participation is greatly anticipated, and we look forward to a successful and enriching qualifier.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Agenda

  • 7:55 AM: Check in and Inspection Begin

  • 8:00 AM - 8:45 AM: 5 Skills Fields Open

  • 8:45 AM: Check in Closed, Skills Fields Closed, Opening Ceremony Starts

  • 8:50 AM: Match Schedule Release (Any Team Not Checked in Before 8:45 AM Will Be Considered Absent)

  • 9:00 AM: Driver Meeting

  • 9:15 AM: Qualification Matches Start, Skills Re-open
  • 4:50 PM: End of Qualification Matches, Skills Closed

  • 5:00 PM: Alliance Selection

  • 5:30 PM: Elimination Rounds

  • 7:00 PM: Awards and Closing Ceremonies

Volunteer

Volunteers are instrumental in the success of our tournament, and we encourage you to get involved. No prior experience is necessary. To sign up, please email [email protected]. Volunteers will receive any required training and the chance to spend a full day inspired while working with exceptionally talented youth. Your commitment is greatly appreciated and will contribute to the overall excellence of our event.

In the event of adverse weather conditions, our intention is to proceed with the tournament as planned. We are committed to ensuring the safety and satisfaction of all participating teams. In the event of any necessary updates or changes, we will make sure to keep you informed through email.

This is vital in case we need to get in touch with you for any unforeseen emergencies or important announcements. Your cooperation in this regard is greatly valued and assists us in ensuring the seamless execution of the event.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

A complete reimbursement will be provided.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Please be aware that registration fees are non-reimbursable.

Health and Safety Policies

We will be following Ministry of Health and REC Foundation guidelines, in place at the time of the competition.

Judging Format

 Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Submission Deadline for Engineering books is Feb 6th, 2024, 22:00 Hours.
