Congratulations on earning a spot at the 2024 VEX Robotics Southern California Region 4 Championship Event.

***You may register at any site that has space available for the state championship event you qualified for - please read the entire event posting before registering.***

Choose wisely if this is the event you are selecting. Once you register you will NOT be able to move to a different city. You will NOT be refunded your fee and teams will be moved to the wait list if they have not completed the payment by March 1st, 2024. It is your responsibility to make sure that the payments have been processed in time. We will use the visible record of payment on robotevents.com to make the determination.

7:00 AM  Volunteer Check In

7:30 AM Team Check in, Pit set up, robot inspection begins. 

8:30 AM Judging begins

8:30 AM  ALL TEAMS PARTICIPATING IN THE EVENT NEED TO BE CHECKED IN OR WILL BE DROPPED FROM THE MATCH SCHEDULE. 

8:45 AM  Inspection ends, Pits CLOSED

9:00 AM  Opening Ceremony/Drivers Meeting, Pits CLOSED

9:30 AM Matches begin

12:00 PM Lunch break

12:45 PM Matches and Judging continues

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations, please visit the event on Robotevents.com where updates about the event status will be posted as needed. Event Partners will also make every effort to reach teams directly in case of an emergency. Make sure your team contact information is up to date in your robotevents.com account, as this is the information that will be used to contact your team. Teams should make sure their contact information in Robotevents.com is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.

Health and Safety Policies

We will be following the guidelines of the LA County Health Department.  Please check the LA County Health Department for the most current guidelines.

Judging Format

We are planning on In-Person Judging but Engineering Notebooks will be turned in Electronically on robotevents.com no later than Monday March 4th at 5pm.    

  •  Electronic Engineering Notebook Submissions: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the Event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted electronically for evaluation, with a submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.

VEX Worlds Qualification

This event has been approved to still qualify to VEX Worlds even if it takes place after the March 10th deadline for Event Regional Championshipships. 

 

All Deadlines for VEX Worlds will still be held: 

  • Deadline for registering for VEX Worlds is March 25th. 
  • All teams must be marked “paid” (funds fully received) by March 31, 2024.
