General Info

We have a new venue for State!

We are partnering with NIAR ATLAS at Sector A. NIAR is the National Instutue for Aviation Research and ATLAS is their Advanced Technologies Lab for Aerospace Systems. The space can only be described as a giant robotics warehouse. In this facility NIAR uses cutting edge robotics equipment to test and create new aerospace technology. Students and spectators will have the opportunity to tour the facility during the event. Students will also learn about opportunities where they can begin working with NIAR as early as their freshman year of college, not in an interniship, but in a paid role doing real research.

Check out this video about the NIAR labs.

This event is for teams that have qualified for the Kansas State Championship event.

Teams qualify for this event by winning a qualifying award (generally- Tournament Champions, Excellence award, and sometimes Design) at a qualifying Kansas event. Any remaning spots for this event are given out to the next team with the highest skills score at the end of the season. Teams at this event will have the opportunity to qualify for the VEX Robotics World Championships.
