General Info

RIVER REGION TUNE UP is a VEX VRC event open to any middle or high school team participating in VEX VRC competitions. 

All competitions are student-centered events. Only students and coaches are allowed in the pit area, robots are built and programmed by students, and students advocate for themselves after matches if there is a question about scoring or rules. Parents and other guests are welcome to watch from the stands, subject to any district restrictions.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of bad weather, the event may be postponed. All coaches will be updated as soon as any changes happen.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

It is expected that teams utilize the RobotEvents system to handle event payments prior to attending the event.  In all cases, each registration contains a $5 RobotEvents processing fee that is non-refundable.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Withdrawals after registration will not receive a refund unless we are able to fill your spot prior to the event day.

No refunds will be provided for registered teams that do not withdraw in advance and then do not attend on the event day.
