General Info

Miami-Dade County Public School DAI Shop are delighted to host Make it Happen” the 2023-24 VEX Over Under Tournament. The event will be in person and open to 36 teams.  This event will be limited to two teams per organization. Once the event is full, a waiting list will be created for teams who were unable to register.

All participants are expected to complete the participant release form . (also available in Spanish)  Once per season covers all events.

On-site parking is free.
 

All teams need to be checked in by the end of the inspection. 
 

Team Payment: Teams must be paid two weeks prior to the event. Teams not paid at this time may be dropped at the event partner's discretion to allow teams in from the wait list.

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Inspections COMPLETE at 9 (Again, this is FIRM--bring robots ready to compete)

Driver's meeting 9:15

Qualification Matches Begin 9:30

Lunch break 11:30-12:15

Qualification Matches Continue 12:15

Skills field closes at 1:30pm

Alliance Selection 2:30

Elimination Matches begin at 2:45pm

Awards 4:00pm

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

The event will only be canceled if the school district is closed.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
