General Info
Welcome to the Kern Robotics Late Season Invitational tournament (Skills Only) held in the Bakersfield High School Cafeteria. This event is for teams in Region 3 area, to allow those that are not yet qualified for the State Championships to have an opportunity to do so.
***This is an event that is open to all teams in the in California Region 3, but preference will go to those not yet qualified to State.***
In order to register your VEX team, do so as with any other tournament, but if you have already qualified for State, be aware you might be moved to the wait list is teams not yet qualified need room. Teams that have not quaified to State--if you try to register and it is full pleae put team on waitlist and send me an email.
We will have Skills ONLY with 3 competition fields and 1 practice field.
Teams need to arrive by 8:15am so that they can be inspected before the 8:45am Team Meeting..Skill runs start at 9:00 am promptly.
Teams will be given a time slot each hour (same time each hour) on the saem field. Example: Team 101F time slot :10-:15 field 1--this means that every hour from 10 minutes past the hour until 15 minutes past the hour that team will have the change to run ONE skills run on field 1. Which type of skills they run (driver or programming) is their choice, but with a maximum of 3 runs of the same type in the day. There will be an attempt to allow up to the maximum of 6 runs (3 of each type)--thus 6 hour long blocks. If most teams are done with what they wish to run we may close early (there will be a minimum of 4 hour blocks).
A lunch break will be held from 1:00-2:00pm and a snack bar will be available through out the event, as well as many nearby off-site food options for lunch.
