General Info

The Akron Public Schools Robotics league is intended to inspire competition and innovation within the Akron Public Schools.  It is a blended league open to both middle schools and high schools.  There will be 4 fields, 2 for competition, 1 skills, and 1 practice.  All judging will take place in person.  Please provide paper copies(printing out digital notebooks) of all notebooks upon check-in.

Dinner will be provided to teams and Coaches.

Spectators are permitted to attend, but our space for the league is limited this year if anything changes an update will be provided.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

You will be notified by email and phone if there is inclement weather, an attempt to make up all league nights will be attempted

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: Refunds will only be issued if the event is canceled

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: 

A refund will not be issued

 

Webcast

All league nights will be live streamed.  A link will be provided for viewing as we get closer to the event. 

Judging Format

 

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.  All digital notebooks need to be printed and brought for Judging.
