Mrs. Philosopher’s Invitational (VRC)

 

This VRC Event is a Blended event!  We are hoping to give this opportunity to new teams this year so they can get a taste of what a competition is like.

All participants are expected to complete the participant release form . (also available in Spanish)  Once per season covers all events.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

8:00 Doors open,

8:15 Registration, and Inspection Open

9:00 Opening Remarks and Drivers Meeting - Robot skills will run until the qualification matches are over. Get your rounds in early!

9:30 Qualification matches start.

12:00 - 1:00 Lunch 

1:00 - 2:30 Qualification Matches

2:40 - 2:50 Alliance Selection

3:00 - 4:00 Finals Matches, immediately followed by awards*

(Award ceremony will start right after Judges turn in results

Volunteers are the most important things to have in order to run a great event.  If you are able to volunteer for this event contact Brian Rowland at [email protected].  In your email please include what job you are most interested in as well as any VEX certifications you currently possess.

For event day information regarding weather delays or cancellations, please check the event page for updates.

Notification of any changes to this event will be made through the contacts provided with your registration through robotevents.com

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Per the RobotEvents.com fee structure, $5.00 of each registration is used by their organization for processing and is not refundable.

Refunds will be issued in the cases of an event cancellation.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

No refunds will be issued to "no show" teams.

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
