Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

9 am - Doors open to teams for pit setup 

9 am -10 am – Inspections

9:30 - 11:30 Skills

11:15 am – Drivers Meetings

11:30 am - 12:30 pm – Qualification Matches

12:30 pm - 1:30 pm  – Lunch Break

1:30 pm - 3:30 pm – Qualification Matches

3:30 pm - 3:45 pm Alliance Selection

3:45 pm - 4:45 pm – Elimination Matches

4:45 pm Awards

The event wraps up by 5pm.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

This event will only be postponed due to extreme weather condition and district policies.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

You will receive a refund for the event, minus any RECF fees.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

You will not be issued a refund. If payment is not received by the deadline, your team(s) will be moved to the waitlist to provide other teams the opportunity.

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
