Welcome to Granville Boys High School Tournament! We have put together important information to ensure your participation goes smoothly and you have an enjoyable experience. Please take note of the following details:
 

  1. Event Location: Granville Boys High School 

  2. Arrival and Departure Times: Please plan for arrival before 8:30 AM on the event day. The competition is expected to run until approximately 4 PM. Please note that these times may be subject to change closer to the event, depending on the number of teams registered. We will keep all participants informed of any schedule adjustment

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Volunteer

We invite teams to contribute to the success of the robotics competition by providing volunteers to assist with various roles throughout the event. Your participation as volunteers will greatly contribute to the smooth operation and fair execution of the competition. We appreciate your support in advance!

Volunteer Roles:

  1. Refereeing: Volunteers will assist in refereeing matches, ensuring fair play, and maintaining game rules adherence.
  2. Queuing: Volunteers will help manage team queuing and assist in coordinating match schedules.
  3. Technical Inspection: Volunteers ensure that robots meet the required specifications and safety standards.
  4. Judging: Volunteers will evaluate team performance, innovation, and design during the competition.

Please note that all volunteer roles will receive instruction before the event to explain their role thoroughly.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: refund will be provided

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: there will be no refund

 

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

 Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
