General Info

The SEO VEX League is for all high school and middle school teams in the Southeast Ohio region.  Events will be held at the Zane State College campus on the designated dates after school.

 The first event is an informational meeting, the next 5 events are qualifiying rounds, the 7th and final event will be the League championship round.  All participating teams must compete in at least 3 or the 5 qualifying rounds to be eligible for the championship round.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Competitions may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or COVID related shutdowns. The event partner will contact teams if the event must be postponed. Teams should make sure their contact information is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

No refund is needed

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

No refund is needed

Health and Safety Policies

We will follow all CDC and local guidelines pertaining to COVID related safety issues including limiting attendance to participants and coaches only if requested by the local Health Department.

Judging Format

 All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the final day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
