General Info
United South Central Tournament Details!
Engineering Notebooks: This tournament will be collecting physical engineering notebooks.
Parking: The school has an open lot right in front of the building. Please enter through the main United South Central door in the middle of the building. Teams can load and unload in the first bus lane when they arrive. Check-in will be right inside at the door.
Inspection: Inspections will take place in the gym in the qualifying match que area. Assistance from coaches and volunteers would be appreciated to get things moving.
Event Payment: Please do your best to make payments before or at check-in of the tournament for later registations. Any arrangments outside of this expectation should be arranged beforehand.
Concessions: Concessions will be open from 8AM till 4ish. Breakfast will have some doughnuts and standard snack options. Lunch will have an option of a large baked potato bar for people looking for something with a little more substance which will be next to the main concession stand. Pizza, hotdogs, snacks and beverages will be offered throughout the afternoon at the main concession stand as well.
Volunteers: As a smaller program, any extra volunteers will help bring in more non-local help (mainly refs and judges) will help keep the day running smoothly and to recommendations from VEX and REC.
Participation and Consent Form:
All team members, coaches and adult mentors should fill out the online consent form which is good all season and for all RECF run events. A link to the instructions for online consent form can be found here.
Elimiation Matches: We will be following the REC recomendations for the number of elimiation matches.
16-23 teams = 8 alliances in finals
24-31 teams =12 alliances in finals
32+ teams = 16 alliances in finals
Other General Tournament Info:
- Alliances will be 2 teams.
- If an odd number of teams, the last-ranked team should still attend Alliance Selection in case a team withdraws due to a problem with their robot.
- All finals matches will be one-and-done (no best-of-three matches).
- Ties in finals matches will be replayed until a winner is determined.
- White screens matches and other technical policies will be announced at the start of the tournament to be reactive to how the season progresses.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
If the tournament needs to be cancelled registered teams will be notified as soon as it is known via the contact email provided upon registration. The decision will be made by the USC Superintendent, Transportation Director and Activities Director.
Refund and Payment Policies
We are offering a refund if event is cancelled and NOT postponed. Teams that cancel will only be refunded if another team takes their place will get a refund, minus administrative fees ($5/team).
Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
