General Info

We are a small venue and do ask that you limit the number of team members you have in the pits so that we can maintain as much social distance as possible.

If you know, after you have registered, that you are not going to be able to attend please email and let us know.  We typically have a wait list for this competition.

All participants are expected to complete the participant release form. (also available in Spanish)  Once per season covers all events.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

1:00 - 2:00 Qualification Rounds continue conclude & SKILLS Field Closes
2:15 PM Alliance Selections
2:45 PM Elimination Matches followed by Awards and Closing Ceremonies

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Teams will be notified as soon as possible should inclement weather be in the forecast.  Should the competition have to be postponed we will work with each team to reschedule.  Should the competition have to be cancelled, by us, we will refund any paid entry fees.  

Refunds will only be given if the competition is cancelled and the teams can not attend the make-up event due to a prior commitment.  Teams who do not show up or who decide not to participate after the paying their registration fee will not be eligable for a refund.

Health and Safety Policies

We take the health and safety of all our gust very seriously therefore we ask that you limit the number of team members you have in the pits so that we can maintain as much social distance as possible.

Should the Coweta County School System implement an additional safety procedures we will let each team know as far in advance an possible what those precautions are and how they will be handled at/during the competition

Travel Info

If you are using a GPS to get to here we are located at 160 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Newnan, GA  30263.  In the event you get lost or need something that morning you can call 678-468-0926 and speak to Pam; she will talk you in or help you out.

We have a NEW exit that will allow you to get off I-85 about 2 miles from the CEC.  The new exit number is 44*.  You will go through 1 traffic light and 1 round-a-bout/circle and the school will be on your right.

*If you are traveling southbound get off, turn right, cross the bypass, use the 2nd exit at the roundabout/circle and the CEC will be on your right.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.  THERE WILL BE NO ELECTRONIC NOTEBOOK JUDGING.
