General Info

We will be holding the event on Sat. Oct. 14th, 2023, from 7:30 am until the event is complete around 5:30pm. The tournament will start promptly, and we will attempt to maintain our scheduled target times throughout the event. If you are unable to attend or running late, please contact me directly on my provided cell phone number. Participants that are not in the building by driver’s meeting run the risk of being pulled from the tournament and will not receive a refund.

This event will have a full offering of awards, so please be ready to participate in judging interviews during the competition. We advise all teams to read/review the rubrics for both the engineering notebook and Team interviews. Please bring a printed edition of your team notebook. Online notebooks will not be judged at this event.

Our event will have a robotics skills field available for students to post scores towards the World rankings. Each team can participate in up to 3 drivers runs and 3 autonomous runs. Skills will only be available during the time that qualification matches are taking place. The EP will determine the ending of the Skills event for the competition. Please make sure to have your team complete runs during the morning session of the event. EP does not guarantee that your team will complete all of driver runs and autonomous runs during the event. It is up to the VEX participants / teams to plan out how to approach the entire event with the competition and skills event in mind. Adults will not be allowed to wait in line for the students.

Please read/review the Code of Conduct Policy provided by the REC. Any individual or team not upholding these behavior or ethical stands could be asked to leave the event if issues arise. No refunds are to be given if this occurs.

We will have full concessions available for competitors or audience members to enjoy. Our program would appreciate all purchases from concessions because profits will go directly to funding our season for the club. Lunch will also be available; menu to be determined.

Refunds for this event are only available if you ask to be removed from the event prior to the event closing on the REC Robot Events website (Sept. 29th). Please contact me directly if this is required for a team you represent, and I will assist with the refund.
