General Info

Welcome to the Butter Nexus League. The idea of this league is to have the ability to stay close to home and have some great competition among our teams.

The events will happen in Longmont, CO, at Longmont High School and Erie, CO at Erie High School. We will run meets every week, Please see the agenda for more information, and all league information can be found in this living document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NWqyahKvhpHCBHHvY2s8TE1xZw2lnqQ42wfhz3yy2qU/edit?usp=sharing

The league has to have 16 teams minimum, but each session does not.

  • Students that participate at least 60% of the total Matches available will be ranked above Teams that participate in less than 60% of the total Matches available (e.g., if the league offers 3 ranking sessions with 4 Qualification Matches per Team, teams that participate in 8 or more Matches will be ranked higher than Teams who participate in 7 or fewer Matches).
  • A best practice is to create a schedule for which teams are attending which Ranking Session - ask teams to sit out a session in order to keep the Ranking Session numbers down. Smaller Rankings sessions = more matches for teams, less time needed to run those matches, and fewer fields and volunteers needed.

In addition to the standard awards, we are also presenting the Lobster Award, which is given to the team that best exemplifies good character, community solidarity, and the genuine spirit of the competitive robotics community.

This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

We sincerely appreciate your support! This event can not happen without student/family volunteers.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

We know there is bad weather during the winter months, but we will keep and eye on the current conditions each week and keep teams updated.

Once registered, we will not be issuing refunds except in cases of extenuating circumstances. Contact EP to discuss.
