General Info
Put the Lorain Titans VEX Qualifier on your schedule, this is our 7th year for this competitive tournament.
We will have three sponsored competition fields, two skills fields and one practice field.
If your team is closed out please put your team on waitlist, if there are any cancellations we will add teams from the waitlist, Event Partner will be in communication if added to the tournament.
Food Available
Concession Stand will be available to all attending our tournament: Concessions will be open 8:30 am - 3:00 pm.
Food Meal tickets will be provided to each participants. Coaches and volunteers will have a hospitality room available.
Things to think of:
- All attendees must follow the REC Foundation Code of Conduct.
- Before your team arrives have your robot ready to pass the inspection checklist.
- All engineering notebooks will be collected when your team arrives at the welcoming table. Make sure you turn it in!
- Extension cords are needed to receive power for your team's needs, power will be available close by.
- Students also must have safety glasses on while competing and if cutting or sawing their robots at anytime.
- Each robot will have half of a 8ft table for your pit area.
- Most importantly be ready to compete, have fun, share experiences with teams from all over and enjoy doing robots/VEX.

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
If there is delay or cancellation due to inclement weather we will email or text or call the cell number provided in the registration by 5:30 am the morning of the tournament. Call/Text or email if you have any questions the day before or when you are leaving to verify.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event due to weather: Teams will receive a refund minus the $5.00 REC processing fee. We will make all efforts to hold the tournament even if we need to delay.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: There will not be a refund provided.
Health and Safety Policies
The health and safety of our teams, volunteers and guests are a priority for this event. If needed we will update our policies closer to the event based on current local, state, federal, or any other government guidelines.

Go to the back of the school to enter at the athletic/hall of fame entrance. Signs will be on the windows of the doors and flags where to enter. For more detailed directions look in the list on the Document Tab at the bottom as well as there is a photo in the image gallery

Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges. Please turn in your Engineering Notebook when you arrive at the registration table. All books must be received by the Event Meeting to be included for judges awards.
