General Info

All approved events and event attendees are required to follow all local, state, federal, or any other government ordinances regarding COVID-19 safety procedures, social distancing, and best hygiene practices. Event Partners should continually assess, based on current government guidelines, whether to postpone, cancel, or significantly reduce the number of attendees when necessary. 

Thanks for registering for the White House 8th Annual VEX Winter Tournament!   The event will take place Saturday with qualification in the morning and the tournament and awards Saturday afternoon. Friday is an optional check-in and teams can run skills at this time as well. We will contact you closer to the event with more details including directions, school maps, times, and food options. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please email [email protected]. Participants will be required to submit the VEX liability release form.

Skills Challenges Field Open: 8:00am - 2:00pm (closed for lunch 12-1)

Drivers Meeting:  9:00am

Qualification Matches Begin: 9:30am

Lunch Break: 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Qualification Matches Continue: 1:00pm - 3:15pm

Alliance Selection: 3:30

Championship Rounds: 3:45pm - 4:45pm

Awards Ceremony: 5:00pm

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of bad weather, updates will be made by email.

Refund and Payment Policies

Registration cancellations must be received by February 1st, 2023, in order to receive a full refund. All cancellations must be emailed to [email protected] with the team number and the contact information for the team’s contact. Teams that cancel on February 1th, 2023 or after will not receive a refund for their registration fee.

Judging Format

 

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
