General Info

The Caribbean Robotics Academy (C.R.A.) is proud to host the C.R.A. - VRC Regional Tournament #2 of the VEX Robotics Competition 2023-2024 season in Puerto Rico. The event is open for High School and Middle School teams and will also be a qualifier for the C.R.A. National Championship. The tournament aims to increase student interest and participation in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) by engaging them in robotics and engineering challenges. Beyond science and engineering principles, C.R.A. encourages group creativity, teamwork, leadership, passion, and problem-solving. The staff of C.R.A. is excited to host a VEX Robotics Competition and ready to give all the teams an exceptional and unforgettable experience.

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Teams will be notified, via email, if any event occurs that would jeopardize the C.R.A. - VRC Regional Tournament #2.

Refund and Payment Policies

Suppose the event is suspended or delayed due to the pandemic or other force majeure. In that case, the cost and registration fees are not refundable. The participating teams shall bear the refund and loss of transportation and accommodation, and the event host shall not assume any responsibility. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend, the cost and registration fees are not refundable

Judging Format

  • Remote Judging (Required for Awards)- The Initial Team Interviews will be conducted remotely, and Engineering Notebooks will be submitted to judges digitally via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Initial Interviews will be conducted between November 10-12, 2023, and Notebook submission deadline is November 12, 2023.
  • In-Person Judging - After the remote judging, teams could be judged in-person the day of the event.
