General Info
Franklin Road Academy welcomes you to our fourth annual tournament.
- The event will be open to 40 high school Tennessee VRC teams.
- If the event is full, add your team/s to the waitlist. We will contact you if a spot opens.
- Both Driving and Programming Skills Challenges are open to all registered teams.
- A campus map, parking information, pit/skills/competition layout, and other information will be provided closer to the tournament date.
VEX Liability Release Form
- Participants will be required to submit the VEX liability release form ONLINE before the tournament.
- Paper forms will not be accepted.
- This document is located under the documents tab and is uploaded through your account on RobotEvents.com.

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

- 7:00-9:00 AM - Event Check-In/Registration/Inspections
- Teams must be in line before 8:45 AM to be inspected
- LATE Arrivals - Teams must contact the EP if they are running late or they will be removed from the team list for the event
- 7:30-9:00 AM Skills fields open for inspected teams
- 9:00-9:15 AM Drive team meeting with Head Referee
- 9:30 AM-12:30 PM Qualification matches
- 12:30-1:30 PM Lunch break
Skills will be open during the lunch break - 9:30 AM-Until quals end - Skills field open
- 1:30-4:00 PM Complete remaining qualification matches
- 4:15 PM Alliance selections
- 4:30-5:30 PM Elimination matches
- 5:45 PM Awards ceremony
Volunteer
We LOVE our volunteers!
- No prior experience is necessary! Training will be provided Saturday morning before the meet begins.
- Please email [email protected] if you would like to help.
- FREE snacks and meals are provided to all volunteers.
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of inclement weather, updates will be made by email.
Refund and Payment Policies
- Payment is due by January 13, 2024.
- Any refund will not include the $5 processing fee assessed by RobotEvents.
- Refunds will only be made if the event is cancelled by Franklin Road Academy.
- Refunds will not be issued for teams that register but choose not to come.
Health and Safety Policies
There are currently no restrictions on social distancing, masks, or other health and safety protocols. Should this change, we will email you.

Judging Format
In-Person Judging Only: The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in person on the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
