General Info

Welcome to the Ice Scream Social!

This event will be hosted by SCREAM(South Carolina Robotics Events and Management). It will be a fun, jam packed event hosted at Clemson University! This event will qualify for the South Carolina State Championship. Please consult the awards section to see which awards qualify for State! 
 

Please see the transportation section for information about purchasing cheaper parking passes. 

There will be a skills field open throughout the event except for lunch.

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If the Event Partner cancels/postpones the event: 

In the rare circumstance that we must cancel the event, the event partner will issue refunds to teams who have paid, or allow them to transfer their payment to cover another event hosted by the event partner.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend: 

Teams are eligible for a refund up to 3 weeks before the event start date. All teams requesting refunds should submit requests to the Event Provider by January 5, 2024, at 11:59 PM.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Teams will be refunded minus robotevents fees.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
No refund

 

Health and Safety Policies

Please hyrdrate and wear deoderant. Participants with body odor may be subject to G1 and student code of conduct. 

The university has asked that all cutting take place outside on the concrete. Please do not dispose of any batteries in university trash cans. A battery collection will be at the technology table and those batteries will be recycled via a local recycling plant.

Travel Info

This event will take place on Clemson University's campus at the Hendrix Student Center. Teams will be required to follow all University policies while on campus. Be sure to acquire a weekend parking pass before attending the event! Passes can be purchased from Campus Parking Services.

Judging Format

Digital notebook submissions are required for this event and there will be in-person interviews on the day of the event. Digital notebooks are due by Jan 20th at midnight.
