General Info
Battle for Placer Gold Invitational is an invite-only event , with priority consideration given to Placer area/Greater Sacramento teams. Contact us at [email protected] or place your team on the waitlist to be considered.
Update Feb 9th: Please put your team on the waittlist if you are interested in attending. We'll contact teams if we have an openings or are able to get a couple more teams in the pit area.
Jan 15 Update: We've expanded the event to include more teams - thank you to West Park High School for partnering with PART to host at their facility!

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Volunteer
We always appreciate volunteers and are in need for volunteers on:
- Friday evening for setup
- Saturday evening for teardown

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
Bad weather should not affect this event.
In case of a cancellation, the event partner will contact you as early as possible.
Teams should make sure their contact information in Robotevents.com is up to date, and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.
Refund and Payment Policies
Teams who have registered but have not paid or submitted a PO prior to the payment deadline will be moved to the waitlist unless special arrangement has been made with the Event Partner.
If you register after the payment deadline, payment is due immediately with your registration.
Registration contains a $5 RobotEvents processing fee that is not refundable
If the event is cancelled, a full event registration (minus $5) refund will be given to all paid teams.
No refunds if the event is not cancelled
Health and Safety Policies
Based on local health and/or venue requirements, the event organizer reserves the right to require safety precautions based on the pandemic conditions at the time of the event - including masking or other precautions. (Currently masking is not required)
Judging Format
Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.
