Health and Safety Policies

While our health & safety policies implement the latest guidance from the CT State Department of Education, it is important to remember that things not only might change, they will. We will continue to be flexible in our approach in compliance with state guidance and best practices as we strive to keep everyone safe.

Mask Use:

Mask wearing is currently optional at RHS for all students, staff, and visitors with the exception of those required to wear a mask after having tested positive for COVID-19 following a set number of days.

Hygiene/Handwashing:

Frequent handwashing is still a recommended mitigation strategy to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. Bathrooms will be available for hand washing.

Diagnostic Screening, Reporting Illnesses, and Testing:

We will continue to emphasize that students stay home when they are sick. Parents will continue to follow health screening protocols that we have established based on recommendations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the State of Connecticut, and our local Health District. We have encouraged both staff and eligible students to be vaccinated as this is the best mitigation tool to keep our community safe.

Webcast

This event will be live streamed on the CTEEA YouTube channel and will also be available to rewatch after the event.
