General Info

Welcome to South Brunswick Vex VRC Robotics- Over Under Competition 2023/2024. We are very excited to host this year! The tournament is going to be held in the Blue and Red Cafeterias by the Front of the Building. Plenty of parking is available onsite.

The Front Entrance of the school building will be open, banners will help to show the way in.

Please make a note: 6-8 Students are allowed per team at our event. One/Two Team Advisors per 3 teams, please. No spectators are allowed at this event. 

No googles will be provided at the event, please bring your own. Safety goggles are a must for all on the drive team. Please label them if you can. Please label all your equipment as well so in case you leave it behind we can make ensure you receive it. 

Maps with teams' names and numbers will be available when you check in to the event. Concessions stand with snacks and pizza will be open throughout the day

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

There is no planned snow date for the event. In the event of snow, we will update this tab as we get closer to the event.

Refund and Payment Policies

There will be a full refund only if your school has Covid Driven Issues and they don't allow your attendance at the competition in person. There will be no other exceptions for refunds at this time. 

Health and Safety Policies

The federal, state & local guidance and directives/executive orders regarding COVID-19 safety protocols are constantly changing. The South Brunswick school district will comply with whatever directives and best practices are in place at the time of this event. This may include the provision of proper hygiene and disinfection at the premises which may include but shall not be limited to, temperature checks, sanitizing with appropriate cleaning materials, and the provision of personal protective equipment for staff and attendees. Please contact the school to ascertain what protocols we are requiring. You are advised to check back from time to time as the date of our event approaches.

Located on the corner of Stouts Lane and Ridge Road

Route 1 North To Stouts Lane/Promenade Blvd - make a right onto Route 522 (Exxon station at the light); remain in the right lane. Make an immediate right onto Stouts Lane and follow the road. South Brunswick High School is at the end of the road, just before the traffic light.

Route 1 South To Promenade Boulevard - go through that light and take the immediate jug handle for Route 522 - cross over Route 1 and remain in the right lane. Make an immediate right at the first light onto Stouts Lane and follow the road. South Brunswick High School is at the end of the road, just before the traffic light. 

Judging Format

Judging Format at our event- 

 

  •  In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person on the day of the event. Teams should upload a link of their notebook to Robotevents.com  Remote judging and online notebooks are not acceptable at this event for judging.
