General Info
This event is a Middle School Only Tournament, complete with trophies from the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation. This event will have 6 qualification rounds per team. There will be an on-site concession stand for lunch. However, a number of nearby food options will be available to you during the lunch break.
Competition Preparation:
This event is sure to be a fast-paced and exciting event. All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared...
1. Review the rules and run through the inspection checklist before the competition so that there is ample time for adjustments.
2. Check the official VEX forums for rule updates and changes.
3. Pack for the event the day before the day of departure. Remember: Goggles/Safety glasses, spare parts and tools, batteries and chargers, programming cable, power strip, laptop computer, engineering notebook.
4. Safety comes first. Please see the Health and Safety Tab. Tools brought with you should not pose a safety risk with sparks, etc.
5. Understand how the game will be played. VEX participants are more than welcome to watch the referee training videos before they attend a tournament. The referee videos can be found using this https://www.roboticseducation.org/competition-teams/vrc-training/
6. Be certain you have the latest version for both your programming software, controllers, batteries, and V5 brains.
7. Participation and consent form - a completed form for all participants must be posted online. PLEASE turn this in electronically thru the REC website.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
A decision will made the day before the meet whether or not to cancel the meet. We will make every effort to reschedule the meet. Refunds will not available to teams who cannot participate. Please take care of yourself.

Please note the payment deadline of 1 week prior to the event. Failure to get this taken care of may force team(s) to the Wait List.

Health and Safety Policies
- Spectators will be allowed. Spectators will be encouraged to socially distance themselves while in the venue.
- Only students and coaches will be allowed inside the pit area.
- Concession stand will be provided.
- No charging stations will be provided.
- After consultation with the local school district and the Regional Coordinator, the Event Partner reserves the right to make changes to the above Health and Safety Policies in order to facilitate the safest event possible for the students, coaches, and volunteers. Any changes to these requirements will be shared with registered teams as soon as possible.

Buses should park in the stadium parking lot on the East side of the building. Spectator and participant entrance will be on the Woodlawn side of the building.

Judging Format
All In-Person Judging will be used at this meet. - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges. Thank You!
