Agenda

Saturday, January 20, 2024

7:45 am - Doors open.

8:00 am to 9:45 am - Robot inspection.

8:30 am - 9:45 am - Both main fields open for Skills Runs (Local teams are encouraged to do this in the AM).

9:45 am - Opening ceremonies/Driver Information.

10:00 am - Pizza order deadline.

10:00 am to 12:00 pm - Qualifying matches begin. 4 minute rounds on 2 courts alternating.

12:00 pm to 1:00 pm - Lunch time & both main courts open for Skills runs with out of town teams have first priority in the queue. There will be a concession for students to purchase food and drinks in addition to the pizza order. Coaches, referees, and volunteers receive a free lunch in coach’s room.

1:00 pm to 3:00 pm - Qualifying matches continue.

3:00 pm to 3:30 pm - Alliance partners are picked.  Top 16 teams pick partners to advance to playoffs.

3:30 pm to 4:00 pm - Elimination rounds and finals.

4:00 pm - Awards ceremony & closing remarks.

4:30 pm - Clean up by local coaches, parents and teams.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In case of an incident or circumstance affecting this event, the event organizer will notify teams in the following manner:

  1. An advisory describing the situation (e.g. inclement weather) and the action being taken (e.g. event cancellation) will be posted to this RobotEvents event listing under this tab.  
  2. The same information will also be e-mailed to all registered team coaches.

Refund and Payment Policies

 

Should the event be cancelled, registration fees will be refunded to all teams in full.

Team cancellation

Registered teams needing to cancel will be eligible for a full refund if notification of cancellation is submitted prior to freezing (publication of) the qualification match schedule.

Parking

Please park in the main parking lot at the North end of the school.  Leave the bus loop open for drop-off only.

Loading / Unloading

Please drive around the South end of the school to the rear doors of the large gymnasium.

Judging Format

In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

Payment Address

Robot Events does not accept payment for events outside the US.  Please make cheques payable to "School District #63" and bring them on the day of the event or mail them to the following address in advance:
