Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of every VEX competition--without them the event simply cannot function. In a perfect world, every robot team would provide at least 2 adult volunteers at every event.  We would be grateful to anyone who wishes to help out.  We require that all volunteers be registered in advance--contact [email protected] with the subject "Volunteer for VEX Tournament " ASAP if you would like to help out at this event.

There are lots of different roles that need to be filled, with varying degrees of expertise and physical activity. Check out the 'Volunteer Roles Overview."

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Due to the many demands on our facilities, we will not postpone this event.

In such a case, teams will be notified at least 1 week in advance, and refunds (less the fees incurred by robotevents.com**) will be available for teams.

If conditions require (a hurricane, for instance) the event will be CANCELLED and your registrations refunded (less the fees incurred by robotevents.com).**

Notification of cancellation will be made through the contacts provided with your registration through robotevents.com and the RECF. Please make certain all your contact information is correct and current to stay informed!!

**From Robotevents.com: There is $5.00 USD fee, per registration, that will be withheld to cover website maintenance, processing fees, reporting, accounting, and system updates.

Refund and Payment Policies

Refunds* will ONLY be issued in the cases of an event cancellation

Please only register robots/teams that intend to attend. Due to the limited space for events, we will not issue a refund for a 'no show.'

Communication about cancellation or LRT will come from [email protected] (so make sure that email is not blocked!) and will only go to contacts registered in RobotEvents for your team(s).

According to RECF policy, $5.00 of each registration is used by their organization for processing and is NOT REFUNDABLE.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
