Welcome to the Wawasee/Portage Spin UpVEX VRC Blended tournament!
The change of venue was unexpected, but the opportunity for students to compete has been preserved.
Arrival:
- Enter through Door "F" (Facing US Hwy 6).
- Bus and parking available in lot at Door "F".
- Student waivers must be completed online.
- Check in immediately upon entry.
- Engineer’s Notebooks submitted at Check-in.
- Competition Arena located in PHS West Gymnasium.
- Team Pits located in adjacent PHS West Cafeteria.
- Concessions available. (Breakfast and Lunch items.)
- Facility is ADA accessible.

Coaches, will be notified by email in the event of a cancellation. where I will post updates about the event status as needed in the General description.

Should teams need to cancel due to the change in venue, you will receive a full refund less the $5 RECF fee.

Portage is located in Northwest Indiana minutes from the shores of Lake Michigan and the Indiana Dunes, and located 35 miles outside of Chicago, IL.
From the South:
- I-65 N to exit 258, E 37th Ave/Ridge Rd/US 6 in Hobart.
- Drive 7.5 miles East Portage High School.
From the East:
- US 30 West to IN 49 North @ Valparaiso.
- IN 49 North to US Highway 6 West exit.
- Drive 6 miles West to Portage High School
Several restaurants and shopping stores are located right near Portage High School.
Judging Format
All In-Person Judging -
- Team notebooks must be submitted at check-in.
- Notebooks will be assessed by the rubric. The top scoring Engineering Notebooks will receive priorty interviews for the Notebook-based awards. (Design and Excellence)
- However, the goal is to interview every team.
