General Info
Redwood Robotics is delighted to host the 2022 Redwood Choo Choo, a VEX Spin Up Tournament. The event will be open to 28 teams. This event will be limited to six teams per organization.
Check in has moved up and will begin at 7:30 am. Teams must be checked in 15 minutes prior to the start of the qualification matches so that the match schedule may be printed. Teams must contact the event partner if they are running late or they will be removed from the team list for the event.
Teams must be paid by October 1. Teams not paid at this time will be moved to the waiting list.
Reminders
- Please upload your VEX Release Forms on Robot Events or bring a completed Release Form for each team member.
- Bring safety glasses, an extension cord and power strip for your pit table.
On Site Food and Concessions
We will be offering pre-order lunch options during the tournament. Order information will be sent out to registered teams.
We will also have coffee, breakfast items and a variety of snacks available for sale during the tournament. We will ONLY be able to accept cash payments at our concessions table, so please make sure to bring some cash for snacks and drinks.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
Bad weather should not affect this event. In case of a cancellation, the event partner will contact you as early as possible. Teams should make sure their contact information in Robotevents.com is up to date and includes both school (if applicable) and non-school phone numbers.
Refund and Payment Policies
Teams who have registered but have not paid by 10/1/2022 will be moved to the Waiting List. No refunds after 10/1/2022 unless we can fill your spot with another team from the Waiting List.
Teams that have not checked in 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the qualifying matches will be dropped from the roster so that the match list may be run.
Registration contains a $5 RobotEvents processing fee that is not refundable.
Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
