General Info

The FARROS JROTC VRC Tournament is open to any JROTC team from a High School in the state of Hawaii. As an incentive for maximum participation, we will not charge for the second or third team registered.Please be aware that Robotevents charges a $5.00 fee for registration per team. Once you register, please notify the Event Partner to ensure you are marked as paid.

Examples:

1 Team = $20

2 Teams = $30

3 Teams = $35

7:30 am: Doors open for volunteers only
8:00 am: Doors open to teams, inspection, practice open shortly after.
8:00 am: Skills Open (Skills ends as soon as the last match concludes)
8:45 am: Drivers meeting​
9:00 am: Qualification Matches begin
12:00 pm: Lunch
1:00 pm: Qualification Matches resume
2:30 pm: Skills Line Closes
2:45 pm: Qualification Matches end
-Alliance Selection- Immediately after the last match concludes
3:15 pm: Elimination Matches begin 
5:30 pm: Awards, and breakdown

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If the event has to be canceled due to bad weather, all teams will be reimbursed for the event.  Please see the refund tab for info on reimbursement.

Refund and Payment Policies

Once the registration deadline is reached, there will be no refunds unless the tournament is canceled because of the weather.  Refunds will be $5 less than registration due to the processing fee the REC Foundation charges for each registrant..

The FARROS JROTC Robotics Competition will follow all HIDOE COVID-19 directives.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges
