Thank you for registering your team for the Big Island East VRC In-Person Tournament. We look forward to welcoming you and your team and are excited to see them compete! Our top priority is ensuring a successful championship that encompasses high-quality matches, ethical judging and awards, and a safe competition environment. Please take a few moments to review the important information below and contact the event partner with any questions you may have. 

HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOL

Please be aware that this in-person event will require:

  1. All persons must wear a face-covering while on the event site premises that covers both the mouth and nose. 

  2. All participants will be regularly asked to use hand sanitizer when interacting with high-touch surfaces.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

7:45 am: Doors open for teams and spectators

8:00 am: Inspections begin

8:45 am: Drivers meeting

9:00am: Tournament starts/ Skills open

12:30 am: Lunch Break

1:00 pm: Finish Qualifying Matches

2:00pm: Skills Close

2:30pm: Finals matches start / Skills Close

3:30 pm: Awards Ceremony

4:00 pm Doors Close to Public

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If there are weather alerts for the area scheduled for league play, please contact coordinator or onsite contact for each ranking session. In the case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations, please visit the event on Robotevents.com where updates about the event status will be posted as needed.  Please make sure your team contact information is up to date in your RobotEvents.com account in the event we need to contact your team.

Judging Format

Only Electronic Engineering Notebook Submissions will be accepted: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the Event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted electronically for evaluation, with a submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
