General Info

We invite your teams to participate iin the Placer Robotics/Cavitt Cowboys Spin Up Tournament for high school teams, held at Cavitt Jr High School in Granite Bay, CA

We strive to conduct the event in a safe manner. Please ensure you have read the Health and Safety Policies and stay current as we approach the event date, for your own safety and others at the event.


Please note: all events will receive state championship award bids based on the REC Foundation Qualifying Criteria. As such, this event must meet all requirements for a Qualifying Event to receive bids to the state championship released in August 2022.

- Sunday evening for teardown

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Bad weather should not affect this event.

In case of a cancellation, the event partner will contact you as early as possible. 

Teams should make sure their contact information in is up to date, and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.

Refund Policy

Teams who have registered but have not paid or submitted a PO by Oct 22 will be moved to the waitlist unless special arrangement has been made with the Event Partner.

Registration contains a $5 RobotEvents processing fee that is not refundable

If the event is cancelled, a full event registration (minus $5) refund will be given to all paid teams. 

No refunds if the event is not cancelled

Health and Safety Policies

Based on local health and/or venue requirements, the event organizer reserves the right to require safety precautions based on the pandemic conditions at the time of the event - including masking or other precautions. (Currently masking is not required)


Judging Format

 Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Notebooks are due November 8th
