General Info

Welcome to the 2022-23 West Virginia State Championships, hosted at the Fairmont State University Falcon Center!

Due to Fairmont State's dining contract, outside food cannot be brought into the venue. However, the Dining Hall will be open for lunch - buffet style, all you can eat for $7.

Judging Information

Digital Notebook Submissions
Engineering notebooks will be reviewed digitally in the days before the event. Digital notebooks (or scanned copies of physical noteboooks) must be submitted through RobotEvents. For detailed instructions regarding digital notebook submissions, see this page. Digital notebooks submitted via any other means (e.g. email) will not be accepted. Printed copies of notebooks on the day of the event will not be accepted.

The deadline to submit notebooks for review is Sunday, March 5, 2023.

 

In-Person Team Interviews
Team interviews will be conducted in-person during the event.

6-8 PM: Robot Inspection (Gym 1; optional, for teams arriving Friday evening)

 

Saturday, March 11

7:30 AM: Doors open; inspection begins (Gym 1)

9:00 AM: Drivers’ meeting (Gym 1)

9:30 AM: Qualification matches begin (Gym 1)

12:00 PM: Lunch break

1:00 PM: Qualification matches resume (Gym 1)

4:00 PM: Alliance Selection (Gym 1)

4:30 PM: Round of 16 and Quarterfinal matches (Gym 1)

5:30 PM: Semifinal and Finals matches (Gym 1)

6:00 PM: Awards (Gym 1)

 

Skills Challenge fields will be open during qualification matches, breaking for lunch and closing for the day before alliance selection.

Travel Info

The "campus map and parking directions" under the "documents" tab includes directions to Fairmont State University, as well as showing the location of the parking garage and the Falcon Center on campus. All vehicles should park in the garage.
