General Info

Thank you for your interest in the Potomac School Starter Tournament  This tournament is designed to allow new teams to compete and learn the basics of tournament play, and have a great time at an early season tournament. This is a great place to get your new teams excited about robotics and the competition season ahead.

This tournament will have Qualification matches, Alliance Selection, and an Elimination Bracket. Skills Challenges will be available to teams during lunch. There will be no judged awards at this event.

We're looking forward to a great tournament!

Teams will get 6 matches total during qualifications.  This is important to stay on schedule to maintain that 6 match schedule. So matches will only run a max of 1 minute behind for late teams or teams having problems with connection issues.  If there are field problems and we get more than 1 minute behind schedule, then time will be caught up in between matches until back on schedule.

Volunteer

Volunteers are the lifeblood of any event. This event would not be possible without the hard work and effort of our volunteers. All volunteers will receive lunch, and training on the day of the event. This event is designed to introduce volunteering at VEX Robotics Competition Events, and is a great way to learn the game and all the volunteer roles before we reach later events and the State Championship in March.

Please email Oscar McCullough at oscar.mccullough@gmail.com for Volunteer Opportunities.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If the event has to be cancelled due to bad weather, all teams will be reimbursed for the event.  Please see the refund tab for info on reimbursement.
