General Info
Thank you for your interest in the Brentwood Academy Robotics Starter Tournament - Starterbot Only! This tournament is designed to allow new teams to compete with the current VEX Starterbot, learn the basics of tournament play, and have a great time at an early season tournament. NO OTHER ROBOTS WILL BE ALLOWED. This is a great place to get your new teams excited about robotics and the competition season ahead. Your paid registration will include lunch for competing students and coaches (pizza, drink, cookie).
All approved events and event attendees are required to follow all local, state, federal, or any other government ordinances regarding COVID-19 safety procedures, social distancing, and best hygiene practices. Event Partners should continually assess, based on current government guidelines, whether to postpone, cancel, or significantly reduce the number of attendees when necessary.
Participants are also required to submit the VEX liability release form electronically.
Since this event is livestreamed on YouTube, all fields will be raised.
We are excited to host new teams on our campus, so prepare for a day of learning from each other about how a tournament runs! Since this is likely your first event ever, please feel free to contact vextournaments@brentwoodacademy.com with your event questions.
This tournament will have Qualification matches, Alliance Selection, and an Elimination Bracket. Skills Challenges will be available to teams during lunch. There will be no judged awards at this event.
The Build instructions for the MobyBot robot can be found here: https://content.vexrobotics.com/docs/21-22/tipping-point/Moby-BI.pdf
Teams may not make modifications that alter or enhance the performance of the MobyBot or Clawbot. For any robot modification questions, please email our Head Referee at AskRefZea@gmail.com.
We're looking forward to a great tournament!
