General Info

Nowata schools is so excited to kick this 2022-2023 season off with a Halloween Bash.  So ready your robots, and get your best costume together because not only do you want to win the Excellence Award, but the Best Costumes Awards is something to shoot for too! The winning team will be chosen by a combination of the people and the judges, and they will take home bragging rights, a trophy, and an amazing prize basket! So sign up now before the spots fill up.  If the spots are all full then join the waitlist.

Volunteer

If each organization could provide a single volunteer, that would help immensely in ensuring the competition runs smoothly, and that every team is represented at the event.  Please have your team's volunteer fill out the form ASAP, but no later than Thursday, October 27th so that they can be assigned a job.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of an emergency or bad weather we will attempt to reschedule and team contacts will be notified.  

Refund and Payment Policies

Refunds will not be given except under the most unavoidable circumstances.  Be sure to check scheduling conflicts prior to registration.  In the case of emergencies, registration may be applied towards a future event hosted by Nowata.  Please contact the event partner ASAP if something comes up.

Health and Safety Policies

Masks or other face coverings and social distancing are highly encouraged.  Gloves will be worn by all staff and volunteers in the concession stand.  Your temperature will be checked upon entering the building, and anyone with an elevated temperature will be asked to leave the building and wait in the vehicle.  If you have exhibitted any symptoms of COVID-19, or been around anyone that has tested positive for COVID-19, please get a negative test before coming to our event. We want to make sure to stop the spread of this virus as much as possible.

Judging Format

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.Please submit your digital notebook by Tuesday, October 25th.
