General Info

We’re really excited to be hosting the state championships the Califormia Polytechnic State University. 

We will have a full VEX Tournament featuring two competition fields, a skills field, and a practice field. In order to keep everyone safe, we will be following all the current COVID-19 restrictions as the university requires.

The tournament will be held at the Cal Poly Recreation Center ( 101-113 Longview Ln, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405) it is also Building 43.

Code of Conduct

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If the event is going to be canceled due to inclement weather, all teams will be notified via email (at least 24 hours in advance if possible). As this will be an indoor event, cancellation is highly unlikely. 

Teams should make sure their contact information is up to date in Robotevents and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.

Refund and Payment Policies

If COVID-19 causes the event to be canceled, all registered teams will be issued a full refund.

If a team chooses not to attend the event and informs the organizer prior to the closing date, a refund will be issued.

No refunds will be issued after the closing date.

Health and Safety Policies

This event will be run in accordance with the San Luis Obispo, California Polytechnic State University, and SLO High School COVID-19 protocols. The specific rules will be communicated via email with registered teams two weeks prior to the event.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
